Born in 1971, Birštonas. Graduated with a Bachelors degree from Vytautas Magnus Univeristy in 1994, obtained a Masters degree in Medieval Studies at the Central European University, Budapest, in 1995, Masters degree in advanced studies (DEA) in 1996, obtained PhD degree in religious sciences at the École Pratique des Hautes Études, under the supervision of Prof. Gilbert Dahan (summa cum laude) in 2004; lecturer in Medieval Philosophy at the Faculty of Philosophy, Paris I, Panthéon-Sorbonne, the Faculty of Philosophy (2008-2012), Paris Catholic University (Departement of Philosophy, 2017), Paris-Sorbonne IV (Departement of History, 2020), Lyon III, Jean Moulin (Departement of Humanities, 2019-2021). Invited as lecturing professor at the Universidade de São Paulo, Departamente de filosofia, the Universidades de Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ) and the São Carlos (UFSCar) (2009)

She joined the Departement for the Research of Ancient and Medieval Culture in 2020.

Late Antiquity, Early Christian history, philosophy and theology of the Early Middle Ages, religious controversies, the history of iconoclasm, theories of artistic images, the Middles Ages in cinema and modern art
