PhD, researcher
In 1998 defended PhD thesis entitled „The Problem of Art’s Death (Comparative Analysis of Basic Concepts)” at Vilnius University. Since 2009 works in the Department of History of Lithuanian philosophy of the Lithuanian Culture Research Institute, since 2020 is the head of the same department. In 1997–2011 read courses on history of philosophy, aesthetics, philosophy of culture, etc. at Vilnius Pedagogical University; since 2011 teaches at Mykolas Romeris University, in 2012 – 2018 was the Bachelor of Philosophy study program director at this university. As an Erasmus professor lectured at Maynooth (Ireland, 2013) and Ioannina (Greece, 2022) Universities.
Published over 50 articles in peer-reviewed editions, made over 50 contributions at national and international conferences, took part at the research projects funded by EU (ESIFs) and Research Council of Lithuania, did the scientific internships at Warsaw University (2015) and at the Institutes of Philosophy of National Academies of Science of Ukraine (2017) and Belarus (2019).
Is a member of editorial boards of international scientific journals. Is a member of International Association for Aesthetics and The Society for German Idealism and Romanticism.
Main research interests: history of Lithuanian philosophy, philosophy of art, modern and contemporary philosophies.
