Is Researcher (since 1990) at the Lithuanian Culture Research Institute . In 1974 graduated from the Academy of Arts in Vilnius in the speciality of the history and theory of art. Her publications include the monograph Aesthetic Thought in Lithuania in the Late 19th and Early 20th Centuries: Issues of Nationality and Sociality in Art ( 2011), about 40 scientific articles and about 60 articles in art criticism.

PHD: in 1986 defended PhD dissertation “The Problem of Relationship Between the Art and Reality in Lithuanian Aesthetics ((1900–1940)“.
Research interests: history of Lithuanian aesthetics, art criticism.
Membership: Lithuanian artist association; Lithuanian aesthetics association; Lithuanian Culture Council (2015 – 2017).
Awards: The Ministry of Culture’s Letter of commendation (2014) for active participation in protecting and promoting Estonian culture, traditions and traditional customs, as well for developing public intercultural dialog.
