Publishing of Scholarly Journal „Athena: Philosophical Studies”, Vol. 17, 18, 19

The project aims at editing three volumes of the journal “Athena: Philosophical Studies” (vol. 17, 18, 19) on topics “Biopolitics”, “Relevance of Ancient Philosophy”, “Responsibility”. The articles will examine these problem fields: 1) concept of biopolitics as a way to articulate health, migration and climate crises in search of new conceptual forms that could describe crisis management not only in negative, but in positive terms as well; 2) the relevance of ancient philosophy in questioning essential concepts of Western philosophy and culture; 3) the problem of the responsibility: autonomous person vs. awareness of social, technological and ecological interdependence. The main aim of the project is a preparing and publishing of three volumes of the journal “Athena: Philosophical Studies” in which the reflection of these problems in contemporary Lithuanian philosophical discourse as well as interdisciplinary approaches will be presented.
