Preparatory works of the monograph „Lithuanian theatre criticism in 1920–1980“

In the monograph, with the help of modern methods and press sources, the work of interwar and Soviet-era research is reviewed by interwar and Soviet-era theatre critics and their works; looking for links between the personality of the critic and his views, the changing relations between the critic and the theatre, the attitude of the critic and the press. One of the most important tasks of the monograph is to mark the unique path of Lithuanian theatre criticism of the period in question and to evaluate not only the demands placed on it by the theatre or political systems, but also the (im)significance of the influence of criticism itself on the theatre.

Result: The monograph is being prepared for publication.
